Ireland lies in a moderate to strong southwesterly airflow between a shallow depression of 999hPa centred southeast of Iceland and a weak ridge to the south of Ireland. A large depression in the North Atlantic will steer in its associated cut-off low from the southwest overnight, clearing into the Irish Sea early Wednesday.
