A large steering low of 942hpa centred to the south of Greenland in the North Atlantic generates a strengthening southeast airflow over Ireland. An associated occluding frontal system will track northeastwards over the country today.

Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain, drizzle and mist. Rain clearing to showers this afternoon.

Moderate or poor in precipitation or mist.
