A cold and dry start for most this morning with some bright spells developing in parts of the west. However, it will be cloudier across Leinster and east Ulster with some light showers that will persist through the day. Some of those showers may turn wintry over higher ground in the east. A cool day with highest temperatures of just 3 to 6 degrees in a light northeasterly breeze.

Mostly dry tonight with cloud spreading from the east, the best of any clear spells will be towards western coasts. Isolated showers will drift into parts of the east and south. Frost and icy patches in some areas as temperatures fall to between -3 and +2 degrees, in a light northerly breeze.

Amárach

Mainly dry and cloudy tomorrow, with just a few light showers near eastern and southern coasts in the morning and early afternoon. Becoming drier towards evening with a few more bright spells developing. Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees with light to moderate northeasterly winds.
