Very warm with long spells of sunshine for most this afternoon with any lingering cloud in the far south clearing soon. There is the chance of a few showers later this afternoon in the northwest, possibly heavy with isolated thunderstorms too. Highest temperatures of 24 to 29 degrees, slightly cooler in parts of Munster and south Leinster with highest temperatures of 20 to 23 degrees.

Anocht

Mainly dry tonight with cloudier conditions spreading from the west overnight. Isolated showers are possible in parts of Ulster. Mild and humid with temperatures not falling below 12 to 17 degrees.

Amárach

Saturday will be warm with sunny spells, but it will become cloudier at times, especially in the west. Scattered showers will occur, mainly over the western half of country with some turning heavy and possibly thundery later in the day. Highest temperatures of 19 to 25 degrees, warmest across the eastern half of the country, all in a light to moderate southwest wind.
