A wet start this morning with outbreaks of rain, heavy and possibly thundery in places, heaviest further to the south, with some localised flooding. A clearance to sunny spells will move into the southwest in the early morning, extending to the northeast by the early afternoon. Some well scattered showers will follow too, a few heavy later, in parts of the north and northwest. Winds will be mostly moderate to fresh and gusty south to southeast for a time, strong near southern and eastern coasts, and light to moderate cyclonic variable at first in the southwest, before becoming moderate to fresh westerly as the rain clears, increasing strong at times in coastal parts of the northwest and west, before easing in the evening. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees.

Tonight will bring a good deal of dry weather with clear spells, though with some scattered showers, mainly further west. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees with winds becoming mostly light southerly, moderate near western and northwestern coasts.

Tomorrow, Monday, will be mostly dry and bright with long spells of sunshine, turning hazy at times and with just a few isolated showers. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 degrees in mostly light to moderate southerly winds, backing southeasterly and freshening in western and southwestern coastal parts.
