Outbreaks of rain and drizzle, some heavy and persistent, will continue to clear eastwards, lingering in Ulster and north Leinster for much of the day. A clearance to scattered showers will spread from the west, with some sunny spells breaking through in the afternoon and evening. However, further rain and drizzle will follow into the west later in the evening. Highest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, with winds becoming moderate to fresh westerly.

Tonight will be quite cloudy across the country with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle. Parts of the east and south will remain mostly dry with the occasional clear spell. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees, cooler in the north, in moderate southerly winds, fresh to stronger along Atlantic coasts.

Amárach

Another cloudy day in store with outbreaks of rain moving in from the west and becoming widespread and persistent, occasionally falling heavy. Brighter conditions will follow later Sunday afternoon with sunshine and showers developing over the west and northwest, and slowly extending eastwards. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.
