Dull and wet today with spells of rain, heavy in places. While some brighter spells may break through across southern and western areas, scattered slow-moving heavy showers will occur too. Highest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees, coldest in the north. Winds will be mostly light to moderate variable but fresh southwesterly for a time in the southwest.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy with scattered outbreaks of rain, heavy in places. Misty in parts too. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees, coldest for Ulster, in light to moderate variable breezes.

Amárach

Thursday will be wet for most and will turn breezy. Outbreaks of rain will continue, mainly over the northern half of the country. Further south, some bright or sunny spells will develop along with scattered showers. Some heavy falls are possible with a chance of spot flooding. Highest temperatures in the early afternoon of 3 to 9 degrees, but continuing to turn colder from the north through the day as moderate to fresh north-easterly winds develop.
