Mostly cloudy today with some mist and with mainly light rain and drizzle at times, most persistent and a little heavier at first this morning in Munster and in southern parts of Leinster. There'll be a few isolated fog patches too, which may linger in places, with just the chance that a few bright spells may develop later. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light, occasionally moderate, mainly northeasterly breezes.

Tonight will be mostly cloudy, with just a few patches of light rain and drizzle here and there, but becoming mainly dry overnight. There'll be a little bit of mist and fog for a time too. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees, in mostly light, occasionally moderate northeasterly breezes.

Tomorrow

Tomorrow, Wednesday, Christmas Eve, will be a dry day and while it'll start off mostly cloudy, with a few isolated patches of mist, it'll brighten up with spells of sunshine developing. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees, in light to moderate northeast to east breezes, a little fresher at times along the east coast.
