Clear spells tonight with showers continuing to ease, becoming largely dry with just isolated showers, mainly in the northwest. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 6 degrees in mostly light variable breezes, with some mist and fog forming, especially in the east where it may become dense for a time later in the night.

Mist and fog patches will quickly clear on Thursday morning however scattered showers will develop through the morning before becoming widespread over Ulster and Leinster. There will be a risk of hail, thunderstorms and spot flooding with these showers. Showers will be more isolated elsewhere with the best of the sunny spells in the southwest. Highest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light to moderate northwesterly or variable breezes, freshening in the southwest through the afternoon.
