Tonight will be dry for most with variable cloud and clear spells. Cloud will thicken over the southern half of the country later, with patchy rain and drizzle developing towards dawn. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, in freshening southeasterly winds, increasing strong near coasts by morning.

Amárach

Tuesday will be a windy day with strong and gusty southeasterly winds reaching gale force near coasts. While many places will start out dry, especially over the northern half of the country, outbreaks of rain and drizzle in Munster and south Leinster will spread elsewhere through the morning. A spell of heavy and persistent rain will spread northeastwards over the country during the afternoon and evening, with localised flooding possible. Highest temperatures of 17 to 20 degrees.
