Cloud and patchy rain and drizzle will gradually give way to drier and brighter conditions this afternoon with sunshine and showers extending from the west. Some of the showers could be heavy. Breezy at times with moderate to fresh and gusty south to southwest winds, easing this evening. Mild too, with afternoon highs of 12 to 16 degrees.

Becoming dry for many areas early tonight with clear spells and isolated showers. However, cloud will thicken from the southwest overnight, with outbreaks of light rain and drizzle developing in south with patches of mist and hill fog too. Remaining largely dry in the east and northeast until morning. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds freshening towards morning.

A blustery day tomorrow with rain spreading across the country from the southwest in the morning, before clearing to the northeast in the afternoon. However, the rain will be quickly followed by heavy, thundery showers for the rest of the day, with the chance of more prolonged showery rain in the southeast. Fresh and gusty southwest winds, strong at times in the west. Another mild day with highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees.
