Any mist and fog patches will quickly clear in the morning and tomorrow, Friday will be dry and warm with long spells of sunshine and light or moderate south to southeasterly winds. Highest temperatures of 19 to 22 degrees, warmest inland.

National Outlook

Summary: Mostly dry, settled and warm through to Saturday. Turning more unsettled from the Atlantic later Saturday into Sunday with rain and showers returning. Cooler too into early next week.

Friday night: It will continue dry on Friday night with long clear spells. Mist and fog will form overnight, particularly in parts of the south and west. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees in light southeast or variable breezes.

Saturday: Saturday will be another mostly dry day with mist and fog clearing early on Saturday morning. Plenty of warm sunshine once again, although it will turn cloudier in Atlantic coastal counties during the afternoon with the chance of patchy rain or showers developing there during the evening. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees, warmest inland, in light to moderate southerly breezes.

Saturday night: Cloud will increase everywhere on Saturday night with outbreaks of rain in the western areas spreading eastwards overnight. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light southerly or variable breezes.

Sunday: Current indications suggest Sunday will bring a mix of cloud and sunny spells with showers or longer spells of rain, some heavy with the chance of isolated thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light and variable breezes.

Monday: Monday will bring further outbreaks of rain or showers, some heavy with a chance of thunderstorms. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees with light to moderate northerly breezes developing, possibly fresh near some coasts.

Further Outlook: Low pressure looks set to dominate the weather pattern into midweek with periods of rain or showers with some heavy and thundery falls possible. Potentially becoming drier later in the week. Temperatures look likely to trend close to or a little below average.
