TOMORROW - Sunday 28th June

Sunny spells with a few showers mainly affecting the west of the province earlier in the day. A fresher day with highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, easing later in the day.

National Outlook

Overview: Becoming more changeable over the weekend and into next week as we return to a more Atlantic influenced regime, with temperatures also reverting to closer to average values for the time of year.

Sunday night: Mostly dry with clear spells and just a few showers affecting Atlantic coastal areas. Cloud will develop from the west towards morning. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees, with moderate southwesterly winds.

Monday: Some sunny spells early in the day with just a few showers, before cloudier conditions with more persistent outbreaks of rain and drizzle spread across the country from the southwest through the late afternoon and evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, coolest in the west and warmest in the east, with moderate to fresh southwesterly winds, easing later in the day.

Monday night: Cloudy with outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards across the country through the night. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, with light to moderate southerly winds.

Tuesday: Starting off generally cloudy and wet. While the more persistent rain will clear eastwards through the morning and early afternoon with some sunny spells developing, scattered showers will continue through the day. Highest temperatures or 17 to 21 degrees generally, but a little cooler in Ulster, with light to moderate southeasterly winds veering westerly through the day.

Wednesday: Generally cloudy with outbreaks of rain spreading eastwards across the country. Drier and possibly brighter conditions will develop later in the evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees, warmest in the southeast. Becoming breezy as moderate southwesterly winds veer westerly and freshen.

Further outlook: While current indications are for the changeable and unsettled conditions to continue, high pressure will build nearby and there is a chance of more settled conditions developing.
