Tomorrow will start off dry and mostly cloudy. However, patchy light rain and drizzle will soon move into southwestern coastal parts. Elsewhere should remain mostly dry with the occasional bright spell breaking through. The patchy light rain will extend eastwards to all areas later and become a little more persistent. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees. Moderate west to southwest winds, becoming fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts.
Overview: While high pressure builds in from the south through the week, conditions will remain mixed with variable amounts of cloud aswell as spells of rain or showers. Sunny interludes will break through at times too. Temperatures will be closer to average, ranging in the mid-high teens to low twenties.
Wednesday night: Rain will gradually clear to the southeast with just isolated showers trailing behind and clear spells. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees with blustery southwest winds veering moderate west to northwest.
Thursday: Briefly cloudy to start, but brighter conditions will develop through the morning with sunny spells. Generally dry for the day too apart from the odd shower over parts of the north and northwest. Highest temperatures of 15 to 21 degrees, cooler in the northwest, with moderate west to northwest winds.
Thursday night: Thursday night will remain mostly dry and clear apart from the northwest where conditions will remain cloudier overnight with the isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees in light to moderate westerly breezes, backing southwest to south overnight.
Friday: Generally cloudy but dry for most. Showery spells of rain will move in over parts of Connacht and Ulster throughout the day, Moderate southwest winds, fresh and breezy along Atlantic coasts. Highest temperatures of 16 to 22 degrees.
Saturday: Looking to be rather overcast for the day with occasional spits of light rain and drizzle. Temperatures will be mild again ranging between 16 and 22 degrees, warmest in the south and southeast.
Sunday: Starting off cloudy but conditions will improve throughout the day with bright and sunny spells developing in the afternoon.
Further outlook: Current indications signal a trend of settled weather for the earlier half of the week as high pressure remains over Ireland. From Wednesday onwards, it is likely we will spells of rain or showers moving back in from the Atlantic. Temperatures will be similar.
