TOMORROW - Sunday 15th June

It will be a cloudy start to tomorrow, Sunday with patchy light rain and drizzle during the morning. The rain and drizzle will gradually clear to the east in the afternoon and it will be mostly dry for the rest of the day, with some bright or sunny spells developing. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in light or moderate southwest to westerly winds.

National Outlook

Overview: High pressure will continue to steadily build near Ireland for next week, leading to a lot of dry weather overall with sunshine too. There'll be some weak fronts early in the week bringing a little rain and drizzle, mainly to the west and northwest but amounts will be minimal.

Sunday night: It will stay dry in most areas on Sunday night with clear spells in all areas for a time. However, it'll become cloudier overnight, especially in the west and north, with a little light patchy rain and drizzle moving in, mainly into coastal parts there. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees, coolest in the south and southeast under the clearer skies.

Monday: It'll be mostly cloudy at first on Monday with a few patches of light rain and drizzle in the morning, mainly for Connacht and Ulster. Otherwise there'll be plenty of dry weather with some bright or sunny spells mainly in the east and south. In the evening cloud will increase from the west with scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle moving in to western parts of Connacht and western parts of Ulster. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in moderate to fresh south to southwest winds. On Monday night, scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle will move southeastwards across the country, weakening as it does. There'll be a little mist too. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds.

Tuesday: Any remaining patchy rain, drizzle and mist will clear southeastwards on Tuesday morning. It will brighten up from the west and the rest of the day will be dry with plenty of sunshine. Maximum temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees in mostly moderate westerly winds. Tuesday night will be dry with good clear skies and just a few isolated patches of mist. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 10 degrees with winds decreasing light mainly west to southwest.

Wednesday: Wednesday will be a fine Summers day. It'll be dry with plenty of sunshine. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 in light to moderate south to southeast winds.

Thursday: Another fine mainly dry day to follow on Thursday with a mix of cloud and spells of sunshine. There's just the outside chance of a light shower. Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh, southeast winds.

Further outlook: There's some uncertainty in the forecast for the end of the week and into next weekend, with a chance that some rain or showers will move over the country, but there's also a high likelihood that high pressure will remain dominant to lead to mostly dry conditions.
