Mostly cloudy with outbreaks of rain and drizzle at first this afternoon and patches of mist too. Brighter, drier and fresher conditions with isolated showers will continue to slowly extend from the northwest, though it will remain mostly cloudy and damp for much of the south and east into this evening. Cooler than recently, with afternoon highs of 11 to 14 degrees, generally, but still reaching 15 to 17 degrees near the south coast. Light to moderate northerly breezes.

Any lingering rain in the southeast will clear overnight, leaving a dry night for many with clear spells. However, scattered showers will feed into the west and north. Colder than previous nights, with lowest temperatures of 2 to 7 degrees in mostly light northwest or variable breezes. There is a chance of a few isolated mist or fog patches.<br><br>

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will be a cool and bright autumnal day for many with plenty of sunshine and scattered showers, mainly affecting the north and west through the morning. Those showers will spread elsewhere through the afternoon and early evening, before becoming isolated later. Highest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with a moderate to fresh northwesterly breeze.
