Most areas will become dry overnight, with skies clearing, but there will be further scattered showers along Atlantic coasts and in parts of the north. Cold. Minimum temperatuers 1 to 6 Celsius, in mostly moderate west to southwest winds. Some grass frost may develop in sheltered places towards dawn, especially in inland parts of Munster.
Tuesday morning will be mainly dry, with sunny spells, especially in the eastern half of the country. Cloud will gradually increase from the Atlantic and persistent rain will develop on west and southwest coasts in the afternoon. The rain will extend gradually eastwards, reaching all parts by early Tuesday night and turning heavy in many areas. Becoming windy also, especially in western and southern coastal areas, with strengthening southerly winds. Maximum temperatures 11 to 13 Celsius.
