Mixed today with cloud and sunny spells. Rain and drizzle in the northwest will slowly move into parts of Ulster, Connacht and west Munster through the afternoon and evening, with scattered showers elsewhere. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees generally, but cooler in the west and northwest with top temperatures here of 13 to 16 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate southerly or variable.

The band of rain and drizzle will move eastwards across the country tonight, heaviest and most persistent in the north, and later the east, possibly leading to spot flooding in places. Clear spells and isolated showers will extend from the northwest to most areas overnight and temperatures will fall to between 7 and 11 degrees, but cloud and patchy rain will linger in the southeast and temperatures here will not fall below 13 to 15 degrees. Patches of mist and fog will form in light and variable winds.

Mist and fog will clear tomorrow morning, as will any lingering cloud and patchy rain in the southeast. Isolated showers will develop in places, but otherwise it'll be dry with sunny spells and light winds. Highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees, mildest in the southeast.
