Generally dry today with the best of the sunny spells across Munster and Leinster. Some rain and drizzle may move into west and northwest areas later this afternoon. Mild for the time of year with highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees, best values further east. Southwest winds will gradually freshen, increasing strong and gusty across west Connacht and for northwest coasts.

Tonight will become increasingly cloudy with occasional rain and drizzle across west and northwest counties. Generally dry elsewhere. Relatively mild with lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest winds, stronger in western and northwestern parts for a time.

Tomorrow, Tuesday, will be a duller start as rain and drizzle across west and northwest counties, moves into remaining areas during the afternoon. Some mist and fog patches too. While a clearance to sunny spells will follow from the Northwest through the afternoon, rain and drizzle will persist across southern and eastern areas until nightfall. Highest temperatures of 12 to 17 degrees, with mostly moderate southwest winds, veering northwest as the rain clears and decreasing light to moderate.
