Réamhaisnéis Náisiúnta

13 May 2021 16:14

Bright or sunny spells this evening, with scattered showers. Some of the showers will be heavy, with a risk of scattered thunderstorms and localised flooding, mainly in Donegal. However, some areas will remain largely or completely dry, especially parts of southwest Munster. Winds mostly light to moderate northwesterly or variable.

Tonight, scattered showers will largely die and most areas will become dry, with clear spells, but a few scattered showers will occur along western and northern coasts. With near calm conditions, some mist and fog will form overnight, becoming dense in some places, especially in parts of the midlands, east and north. Lowest temperatures 2 to 6 degrees.

Tomorrow morning, mist and fog will clear early on and it be mainly dry at first, with some sunshine. Scattered showers will develop once again, some of them heavy, especially in Ulster and north and east Leinster. There is a risk of isolated thunderstorms, mainly in Ulster. Mainly dry elsewhere for a time, but rain will develop in southwest Munster later in the afternoon, extending northeastwards over the rest of Munster, parts of south Leinster and west Connacht during the evening and early night. Highest temperatures 12 to 15 degrees, in mostly light to moderate southerly winds, later increasing fresh to strong in the southwest.
