Inniu

Feeling rather cold today with mostly cloudy skies. Outbreaks of rain and drizzle will spread across Munster and south Connacht, but it will hold largely dry elsewhere. Highs of just 3 to 7 degrees with freshening east to south-east winds.

Anocht

Becoming wet and windy overnight with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread, possibly falling as sleet or snow at times in the northwest and over the Wicklow Mountains. Lows of 0 to 5 degrees early in the night, but becoming milder from the southwest through the night. Southeasterly winds will be fresh to strong.

Amárach

Wet and breezy on Wednesday with widespread outbreaks of rain, heavy at times, possibly falling as sleet or snow for a time in the northwest. The rain will gradually become confined to the eastern half of the country during the afternoon with scattered showers following to western areas. The combination of heavy rain, saturated ground, together with strong onshore winds coinciding with high tides may cause river and coastal flooding. Highs of just 2 to 5 degrees in the north and northeast, but of 6 to 10 degrees elsewhere. There'll be fresh and gusty south-east winds, reaching strong to gale force on northern and eastern coasts.
