Lowest temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees, coldest in parts of Connacht and west Ulster in light variable breezes.

It'll be a bright start for some on Wednesday, with sunny spells, especially further west. Otherwise, morning mist and low cloud will gradually break up, allowing sunny spells to develop for the afternoon. Dry for most, but cloud will build from the Atlantic through the afternoon with the chance of rain and drizzle in western coastal counties before nightfall. Highest temperatures of 11 to 17 degrees, coolest near Atlantic coasts. Mostly light to moderate southwesterly breezes will freshen and back southerly in western and northwestern coastal parts later.
