Much of the eastern half of the country will stay fully dry for the rest of today with spells of autumn sunshine. Cloudier across Atlantic counties with well-scattered showers, followed by some showery rain later. Highest temperatures of 14 to 17 degrees, best values further east. Moderate southerly winds will freshen in places later.

Showery rain will spread eastwards across Ireland early tonight, becoming largely confined to the east and southeast with long clear spells developing elsewhere. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees. Fresh southerlies will ease light to moderate overnight.
Amárach
Some showers will affect parts of the south and east early Friday. A band of heavy rain will move into the western half of the country during the morning, and will move eastwards later, bringing the chance of localised flooding. The rain will be squally in places with hail and isolated thunderstorms, along with fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds. However, sunshine and easing winds will follow from the west during the afternoon, reaching other areas during the evening, last to clear the southeast. Highest temperatures of 13 to 19 degrees, coolest in the northwest. Generally dry, calm, and clear during the evening hours.
