Staying dry and bright for the rest of the day across much of Leinster and Ulster with plenty of sunshine. Some spells of sunshine also in Munster and Connacht, but with scattered showers too, some heavy. The showers will move a little bit further eastwards through the afternoon, but will become isolated. Highest temperatures of 6 to 11 degrees in mostly light to moderate south to southwest winds, fresher in western parts.

It'll be dry in many areas tonight with long clear spells, though there'll be some scattered showers in western coastal parts. Cloud will start to build from the west overnight. Lowest temperatures of 0 to 5 degrees, coldest further east, with some frost possible. Winds will be mostly light to moderate southerly or variable, increasing fresh to strong along Atlantic coasts.

Amárach

Dry to begin on Saturday with a few bright spells early on in the east. However, it'll become increasingly cloudy from the west, with rain and drizzle moving into west Ulster, Connacht and west Munster in the morning. The rain and drizzle will gradually spread southeastwards across the rest of the country through the afternoon, and there'll be some heavier bursts in the west. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees and it'll become windy with south to southwest winds increasing fresh to strong and gusty, with gales on western coasts.
