Very warm or hot with top temperatures of 23 to 31 degrees, hottest in Munster and south Leinster. It will be a little cooler along some coasts, especially for northern most fringes, in mostly light north-east or variable breezes.

Tonight will be dry and mild or even very mild under mostly clear skies. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 17 degrees generally, mildest further south, in just light to moderate northeasterly or variable breezes.

Wednesday will see a continuation of the very warm or hot spell of weather. Generally dry and sunny but localised thunderstorms may occur later in the day. Top temperatures of 22 to 30 degrees, hottest in the Midwest and West, though a little lower for some east and north-east coasts, in a mostly moderate easterly breeze.
