Rather blustery today for St Patrick's Day, especially in the west. Generally cloudy, with some brighter breaks at times along with patches of light rain, drizzle and mist. Heavier and more persistent outbreaks of rain in the west will gradually move eastwards through the afternoon, becoming lighter and patchier as it does. Sunny spells and isolated showers following in the west. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in fresh to strong and gusty southwest winds, easing this evening.

Generally cloudy and mostly dry tonight, with isolated patches of light rain and drizzle. Areas of mist and fog too. Lowest temperatures ranging from 2 degrees in the northwest, under some initial clear spells, to 9 degrees in the southeast, with mostly light southerly or variable breezes.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, will start off rather dull with patchy rain and drizzle. Mist and fog will clear early through the morning with some sunny spells developing later in the day. Quite mild with highest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees, feeling mildest in the south and east, in light easterly or variable winds.
