Inniu

Today will be another humid and a generally very warm or hot day with variable cloud and some sunny spells, the best of these across the midlands and east. There'll be showery outbreaks of rain or showers, mainly in parts of Connacht, Ulster and west Munster, some heavy with the likelihood of some scattered thunderstorms, especially further north. Elsewhere, it'll be mainly dry for much of the day, though with the chance of a few sharp possibly thundery showers at any stage, while during the evening we'll see cloud and outbreaks of showery rain and drizzle generally starting to move eastwards. Highest temperatures will generally range from 23 to 30 or 31 degrees, hottest further east, while temperatures will be closer to 20 degrees in coastal parts of the west and southwest, where there'll be some hill and coastal mist and fog at times. Winds will be light to moderate mainly southwesterly.

Anocht

Rather cloudy and humid for a time with showers or showery outbreaks of rain and drizzle continuing to move eastwards, along with the chance of a few lingering thunderstorms. However, a clearance to fresher conditions will extend from the Atlantic overnight with clear spells and just a few isolated light showers to follow. Lowest temperatures of 12 degrees in the west, still up to 17 degrees in the east, in light to moderate southwest winds, veering west to northwest.

Amárach

Tomorrow, Friday, will be a fresher day, with a fair deal of cloud around, but some sunny spells too. There'll be plenty of dry weather with just some well scattered showers, mainly in the west and north. Highest temperatures will range from 17 degrees in the northwest up to 23 or 24 degrees in the southeast, in light to moderate northwest breezes.
