Mostly cloudy today with just a few sunny breaks. Much of the country dry but there will be patchy rain at times too. Temperatures ranging between 13 and 17 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds.

This evening and tonight rain will become widespread, turning heavy at times. In the southeast of the country any rain will still be lighter and patchy in nature. It will be a misty night with hill and coastal fog also. Lowest temperatures 8 to 11 degrees, with light breezes from a variable direction.

Amárach

Tomorrow morning will be overcast, with persistent rain. Along the east and southeast coast there'll be clearer weather and it will push further westwards during the day. As the day goes on the band of rain will narrow and clearer weather will develop in parts of Connacht too, with the rain belt becoming lighter and patchy through the second half of the day. Temperatures will be between 9 and 13 degrees but where the sun shines in the east and southeast expect values up to 18 degrees. Winds mostly light to moderate northerly but light variable along the east and southeast coast.
