Generally dry at first in the north and northeast, with mist and fog patches. Showery spells of rain elsewhere will become widespread through the morning, turning heavy and squally at times with possible thunderstorms and localised flooding. Occasional sunny spells will break through as the day goes on. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, with mostly light to moderate southerly or variable breezes, gusty at times in heavy showers.

Breezy tonight, with scattered showers becoming more isolated through the night and with clear spells developing. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with moderate to fresh and gusty west to northwest winds, strong along Atlantic coasts.

Monday will start off dry for most with sunny spells and just isolated showers. Cloud will increase from the west through the morning with outbreaks of rain and drizzle following in the afternoon. Parts of the southeast will remain dry for much of the day with occasional sunny spells. Feeling cooler than recent days with highest temperatures of 14 to 19 degrees in moderate westerly winds.
