A cold, dry and bright start this morning with frost in places. Remaining dry and sunny for most through the day, though it will turn cloudier in the west and southwest later in the afternoon with patches of rain and drizzle developing near western and southwestern coasts this evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 10 degrees in a light variable breeze.

Tonight will be dry with clear spells at first in the east. Cloud will increase from the west overnight with outbreaks of rain and drizzle extending across the country by morning. Lowest temperatures initially of 1 to 4 degrees in the east under clear skies, but becoming milder overnight as cloud thickens, with lowest temperatures elsewhere of 4 to 7 degrees. Light southerly winds will increase moderate to fresh as the rain spreads eastwards across the country.

A dull day tomorrow with widespread outbreaks of rain and drizzle, which will ease through the morning, giving way to more patchy areas of drizzle and mist. Feeling milder than recent days with highest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees in moderate to fresh southwest to west winds.
