Tonight will be cold with widespread frost and some icy stretches. Most areas will be dry and clear but there will be isolated wintry showers in the northwest. Lowest temperatures of -3 to 0 degrees, possibly lower locally, with light and variable winds.

Tomorrow morning will be cold with widespread frost and some icy stretches. After a dry and sunny start, cloud will build across the west and patchy light rain or drizzle will develop here. Cloud and rain will spread eastwards across the country through the afternoon, reaching the east coast during the evening, and it will become breezy. The rain will turn heavy at times in the west. Highest afternoon temperatures of 3 to 9 degrees, coldest in the north and east, with light to moderate southerly winds increasing moderate to fresh and gusty.
