Showers will continue to clear from eastern areas this evening but scattered showers will persist in the west. Moderate west to northwest breezes, fresh on coasts.


Showers will largely die out in the east tonight but they will continue to affect western counties overnight, where some will be heavy and possibly thundery with hail. Lowest temperatures of 1 to 5 degrees, coldest under the long clear spells with some frost possible and a light west to southwest breeze.


Tomorrow, Thursday, will bring a mix of sunshine and showers. It will be a dry and bright start in the east but showers will continue to affect western areas in the morning. These showers will spread eastwards through the afternoon, becoming heavy and possibly thundery with hail. Feeling cool with highest temperatures of 10 to 12 degrees in a light southerly or variable breeze.
