Inniu

Quite cloudy across the country this evening. Dry for many, although heavy showers will continue to move eastwards over Ulster, while a spell of rain will move into the southwest also. Southwest winds will remain light to moderate.

Anocht

Some well scattered showers early tonight. However, rain in the southwest will gradually extend northeastwards, turning heavy in places overnight, especially across the midlands, south and east. Hill, mist and coastal fog too. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 16 degrees, mildest for southern counties. Southerly breezes will be mostly light to moderate in strength, fresher though along southern fringes.

Amárach

Wednesday will begin damp or wet, with heavy overnight rain moving off into the Irish Sea. While the rain will ease, patchy mist drizzle will follow at times later in the day too. Drizzle will turn heavy at times across the northwest counties, and along south and west coasts. However, warm sunny spells may also break through across parts of the Midlands, East and Southeast. Very mild and humid in a moderate southwest breeze, with highest temperatures of 17 to 22 or 23 degrees.
