Warm in most places today, with spells of hazy sunshine, but cloudy periods too, with some showers developing, these in eastern coastal areas later this morning, but in other areas later this afternoon and evening, with a slight risk of thunder. Top temperatures 20 to 23 C., generally, but in the mid to high teens in some coastal areas, due to cloud or sea breezes.

Mild and close tonight under broken cloud and with remaining showers dying out. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 C. A few patches of mist or fog also, these mainly on northern coasts. Light northerly breezes at first, but these will freshen later in the night.

Further spells of hazy sunshine tomorrow Friday, best over Ulster, Connacht and west Munster. Cloudy periods too, especially in eastern areas, where some showers will develop in the afternoon. A few of these will push into east Munster later. Warm in sunshine, with top temperatures of 20 to 23 C., but fresher in some coastal areas, with values in the mid to high teens. Breezy in coastal areas too, as moderate northerly winds will be fresh and gusty.
