A mostly dry start across the country with some bright spells. However, increasing cloud and scattered outbreaks of rain and drizzle, across west and southwest counties, will gradually extend eastwards with some heavier bursts later across Ulster. Parts of the Southeast will stay fully dry; mildest here too. Light southwest breezes will veer westerly and slowly freshen. Highest temperatures of 10 to 15 degrees.

Breezy tonight with scattered rain clearing southeastwards early on - a few heavy bursts. Long clear spells and scattered showers will follow, mainly affecting northwestern counties. Lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees, mildest for western coasts, all in moderate to fresh westerly winds.

Amárach

Tuesday daytime will bring sunny spells and well scattered showers. During the evening, the showers will become more frequent, merging to some longer spells of rain across Atlantic counties. Highest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees with moderate to fresh west to southwest winds.
