Dry but cold for the rest of this Saint Stephen's Day with the best of the winter sunshine across Ulster and Leinster. Quite cloudy for a time yet for west and southwest counties. Highest temperatures of 4 to 8 degrees, coldest further west, in light to moderate northeasterly breezes.

Anocht

Dry and cold tonight with clear skies occurring widely. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +2 degrees generally with a slight frost. It will be a little less cold across eastern counties though with values holding between 2 and 6 degrees. Winds will remain light to moderate northeasterly.

Amárach

Any frost will clear early Saturday morning to leave a dry day with widespread spells of low winter sunshine. It may however turn a little cloudier across eastern areas into the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees, coldest further west. Northeasterly breezes will be mostly light to moderate overland and fresher along eastern and southern coasts.
