Mild, misty and mostly cloudy overnight, with some rain and drizzle. The rain will be heavy at times in Atlantic coastal counties, with some spot flooding possible towards dawn, but light and patchy elsewhere. A few fog patches also. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 C. Windy on the northwest coast at first, with strong and gusty southerly winds, but winds generally moderate to fresh.

Breezy tomorrow, Thursday. Very wet in the morning over Connacht, west Munster and west Ulster, with some spot flooding. But mainly dry elsewhere, with occasional bright spells and just a few drizzle patches. The rain will clear western areas later in the afternoon, but some falls can be expected in more eastern areas, but much of it should be light. Mild, with highs of 12 to 14 C. Fresh and gusty southerly breezes will veer southwest and ease later in the day.
