Outbreaks of rain will continue to spread northwards across the country today. There will be fairly widespread showers tonight, merging to give longer spells of rain at times. Areas of mist and fog will form too. Lowest temperatures of 2 to 8 degrees, coldest in the southwest and west where clear spells are most likely. Moderate to fresh easterly winds in Ulster but mainly light and variable elsewhere.

Amárach

Thursday will be mostly cloudy and misty with showery outbreaks of rain in many areas. The best of any drier and brighter weather is expected in the south-west of the country. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees with light to moderate and variable winds, occasionally fresh in Ulster.
