Cloudy with rain spreading across western counties but staying mostly dry and sunny further east. The rain will turn heavy and persistent with spot flooding possible across Connacht and Munster. Eastern and northern areas remaining mostly dry through to this evening. Highest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees with light winds.

Anocht

Wet for most with outbreaks of rain, heavy at times with some spot flooding and thundery bursts possible, especially in southern and southeastern parts. The rain will clear southeastwards later in the night followed by isolated showers. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 8 degrees with light winds becoming fresh northwesterly overnight.

Amárach

Thursday will see a wet start in the east and southeast as rain clears into the Irish Sea through the morning. It will be blustery with scattered showers pushing in from the Atlantic, most frequent in the northwest and west and becoming heavier in the afternoon with some hail possible. However, there will be some long sunny spells too. Highest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with moderate to fresh west to northwest winds, strong on western and northwestern coasts.
