Cloudy this morning with a few patches of light rain and drizzle. Becoming dry and bright through the afternoon with spells of sunshine developing. However, it will turn cloudy again later this evening. Quite breezy in moderate to fresh northwest winds. Highest temperatures of 15 to 17 degrees.

Mostly cloudy overnight with scattered showers. Showers will clear to the south by tomorrow morning. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate northwest winds.

TOMORROW - Monday 7th July

Tomorrow will be dry for most with spells of sunshine developing. However, it will remain cloudier in north Connacht with isolated showers possible. Highest temperatures of 16 to 19 degrees in moderate northwest winds.

National Outlook

Overview: A good deal of dry weather next week with just a few showers or patches of light rain. Warm with temperatures in the high teens or low twenties

Monday night: Becoming cloudier overnight, though clear spells will persist in Leinster and east Ulster. Dry for most with well scattered light showers. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 13 degrees in light to moderate northwest winds.

Tuesday: Largely cloudy with scattered patches of light rain and drizzle spreading over the western half of the country. Remaining dry further east. Highest temperatures of 17 to 22 degrees in light to moderate west to northwest winds.

Tuesday night: A good deal of cloud overnight but mostly dry apart from lingering spots of drizzle in parts of the west and north. Mild with lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees in light westerly winds.

Wednesday: Cloudy on Wednesday morning with a few light showers. Brightening up through the day with spells of sunshine developing. Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees, warmest in the south, in a light to moderate westerly breeze.

Thursday: A dry day for most with sunny spells, though well scattered showers will develop through the day. Very warm with highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees in a light southwest or variable breeze.

Further outlook: Remaining dry at first on Friday but becoming more unsettled for the weekend with outbreaks of rain spreading from the Atlantic and possibly blustery conditions at times.
