Warm and dry today with any fog and low cloud breaking up through the morning and long spells of sunshine developing. A touch of cloud will drift in later this evening but staying mostly dry. Highest temperatures today of 23 to 27 degrees in light easterly breezes.

A warm and rather humid evening with a mix of cloud and clear spells. Light winds and lows of 12 to 14 degrees.

TOMORROW - Sunday 17th August

A mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells and a lot of dry weather too. A few light showers are possible however in the south of the province for a time. Another humid and warm day with southeasterly breezes and highs of 22 to 25 degrees.

National Outlook

Overview: Staying warm and humid with plenty of dry weather.

Sunday Night: Any lingering showers will clear away early in the evening leaving a mix of cloud and clear spells. Another humid night with temperatures not falling below 14 to 17 degrees in light winds.

Monday: Another warm day with a mix of sunshine and showers but they will mostly be confined to Munster and Connacht. A few of the showers could be heavy and possibly thundery too. Becoming cloudy later and rather humid too. Highest temperatures of 20 to 25 degrees in southeasterly breezes.

Monday Night: Cloudy generally with a few showers in the southwest dying out overnight. Southeasterly breezes and lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees.

Tuesday: Perhaps a more unsettled day with overcast conditions and a few showers over the southern half of the country. Again, the showers could be heavy at times. Light breezes generally and highs of 18 to 22 degrees.

Wednesday: Current models indicate another mix of cloudy periods and sunny spells but it will turn cooler with a few isolated showers too. Highs of 17 to 21 degrees with northeasterly breezes.
