Wednesday, October 29th, 2025

Taking place as part of Science Week 2025, the ‘Clouds, Crops and Climate’ webinar is designed specifically for Junior Cycle (first, second, third year) and Transition Year students across Ireland, and will feature a host of scientific experts from a variety of areas across the two institutions.

The free, interactive event will be hosted on Zoom from 11am to 12 noon on Tuesday, November 11th and is open to all science students and teachers. The core aim of the session is to provide participants with the opportunity to see how science is applied in real life, from understanding weather systems, to exploring how climate influences food growth, inspiring the next generation to think critically about science and sustainability.

Attendees will be treated to a series of short presentations from our subject experts, before a live question-and-answer session to generate direct discussion and deeper understanding of the topics presented. The webinar marks the the first time that Met Éireann and Teagasc have collaborated on such an event, and takes place during what is the 30th anniversary of Science Week.
