TOMORROW - Thursday 18th June

National Outlook

Overview: More uncertainty than usual in the outlook but generally rather changeable and turning wet and unsettled at times.

Thursday night: Mostly cloudy with further outbreaks of rain and drizzle spreading northwards on Thursday night, again heaviest in parts of Munster. A mild and humid night with lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees. Light to moderate southerly winds increasing moderate to occasionally fresh overnight.

Friday: Another wet start with outbreaks of rain in all areas at first on Friday. Brighter, drier and more showery conditions will develop in the west through the morning and gradually extend eastwards as the day goes on, though rain may persist for much of the day in eastern coastal counties. Mostly moderate southerly winds will veer light southwesterly as the rain clears. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees.

Friday night: Becoming drier Friday night as any remaining scattered outbreaks of rain will become lighter and some clear spells develop. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in light westerly winds.

Saturday: While there is some uncertainty in the exact details, current indications suggest Saturday will bring a drier day with sunny spells and just the chance of an odd light shower. Highest temperatures of 15 to 19 degrees in light southerly or variable winds.

Sunday: Currently Sunday looks like it could see a dry start for most before rain pushes up from the south mainly affecting the western half of the country with brighter and drier conditions further east. Highest temperatures of 17 to 21 degrees in light southeasterly winds.
