TONIGHT
Lingering showery rain will affect parts of Ulster and Leinster early tonight. Later tonight, scattered outbreaks of rain will move into Connacht and Munster, turning heavy or thundery in places. Some mist and fog patches across the country too, in mostly light southerly breezes. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 14 degrees, coolest for Ulster and Leinster.
TOMORROW - Sunday 30th August
Generally dry early Sunday morning across north and northeast counties. However, showers or longer spells of rain elsewhere, will become widespread by late morning, heavy and squally at times with the potential for thunderstorms and localised flooding. Intense downpours will fall in a short space of time in places, especially across parts of Munster and Leinster. Some sunny spells also. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees, with mostly light to moderate variable breezes, gusty at times around heavy showers.

Overview: Unsettled into next week with showers or more persistent spells of rain forecast for each day. Becoming breezy at times too.
Sunday night: Becoming breezy with a mix of clear spells and scattered showers. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with moderate to fresh, west to northwest winds.
Monday: Starting off breezy with a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Cloud will thicken from the west through the afternoon and evening with outbreaks of rain and drizzle following. Highest temperatures of 15 to 18 degrees, coolest in the northwest, with a moderate to fresh westerly breeze.
Monday night: Starting off cloudy with patchy outbreaks of rain and drizzle mainly affecting western Atlantic coastal counties. Some clear spells will develop as the night progresses. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 14 degrees, with a light to moderate southwesterly breeze.
Tuesday: Sunny spells and scattered showers. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, coolest in the north and warmest in the south, with a light to moderate westerly breeze.
Wednesday: A breezy day with cloud and rain clearing eastwards early, leaving a mix of sunny spells and scattered showers. Warmer than previous days with highest temperatures of 18 to 22 degrees, with fresh southwesterly winds.
