Quite breezy, but mainly dry today. A little hazy sunshine in places, but rather cloudy overall, with scattered patches of drizzle and mist on hills and exposed coasts. Fresh and gusty southeast winds will increase strong in Atlantic coastal areas and rain will develop there this evening also. Top temperatures 16 to 19 C.


Windy, mostly cloudy and misty tonight. Spells of heavy rain will affect Munster and Connacht with a risk of some spot flooding. Some fog on hills and coasts also and with just scattered patches of drizzle and light rain at times elsewhere. Lowest temperatures 11 to 13 C., in blustery southeasterly winds.

Met Éireann has vacancies in three areas: We are seeking to recruit a Chief Hydrometeorologist to head up our new Flood Forecasting Centre; there are a number of positions for Senior ICT Specialists; and a vacancy for a Senior Database Specialist also.
