The Influence of the North Atlantic Ocean on the Mean Temperature of Ireland

Researchers at Met Éireann have been involved in a collaborative study with the National Oceanography Centre in Southampton on the influence of the North Atlantic Ocean on the mean temperature of Ireland. The study investigated variations in Irish climate using long-term station-based time series of temperature and precipitation and was recently published in Weather.

Temperature Projections for Ireland by mid-century

Researchers at Met Éireann have been involved in a collaborative study with University College Dublin and the Irish Centre for High-End Computing on high resolution temperature projections for Ireland by the middle of this century. The work has recently been published in the International Journal of Climatology.
