National Forecast

30 December 2025 16:17

Today

Mostly dry this evening apart from isolated showers in north Leinster. A cold evening with skies clearing in many areas allowing for frost to develop.

Tonight

Cold and mainly dry tonight, with a mix of cloud and clear spells, coldest and clearest in the north and northwest. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +1 degrees generally, but down as low -3 or -4 degrees further north, with frost and ice developing on untreated surfaces. Light variable breezes or near calm conditions will allow some fog or freezing fog to develop, mainly across the northern half of the country. Cloudier conditions in southern parts of Munster and some southern and eastern parts of Leinster will keep temperatures slightly higher there and may bring a little drizzle.

Tomorrow

Variable cloud and sunny spells tomorrow with the frost and any fog clearing through the morning. Generally dry for much of the day, apart from the chance of a little drizzle near the south coast and with some showers moving into northern coastal parts later in the day. Highest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees. Winds will be mostly light and variable, gradually starting to become westerly and increasing moderate in northern parts towards evening.
