Today

Patches of rain or drizzle in parts of the north will continue to clear. Scattered showers will move northwards across the country through the day, some turning heavy with isolated thunderstorms. Occasional sunny spells will also occur. Highest temperatures of 7 to 15 degrees from north to south, with moderate to fresh northeasterly winds in the north and light to moderate variable winds elsewhere.

Tonight

Early tonight will be mainly cloudy with scattered showers, some heavy. Overnight, rain and drizzle will move up from the south, mainly affecting the south and east. It will become breezy with a moderate to fresh northeasterly wind developing. Lowest temperatures of 5 to 11 degrees, coldest in Connacht and Ulster.

Tomorrow

Wet and windy across much of the country tomorrow, with widespread rain and fresh to strong northeasterly winds, particularly gusty along eastern facing coasts. The rain will be heavy at times, particularly in the south and east with flooding expected in places. It will be driest in Ulster and north Connacht with some brighter spells possible. Highest temperatures of 8 to 12 degrees.
