Tonight

Dry for a time tonight. Rain will develop in the south and move up over Munster and south Leinster overnight. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 7 degrees with moderate to fresh easterly winds increasing strong in the south and east by morning.

Tomorrow

On Thursday morning, rain will continue to spread northwards and will become widespread by early afternoon. It will continue for the rest of the day, heaviest in the southeast and east. A windy day also with fresh easterly winds increasing strong to gale force along the east coast. Highest temperatures of 5 to 10 degrees.

There'll be continuing possibility of flooding in places due to a combination of already saturated ground, high river levels and high tides.
