TODAY - Friday 22nd June
Fine and sunny in most areas today with just patchy fair weather cloud. Highest temperatures of 15 to 20 degrees, coolest near north and west coasts, owing to light north to northwest breezes. Sea breezes will develop along east and south coasts this afternoon.
TONIGHT - Friday 22nd June
Rather chilly again tonight, with lows of 4 to 8 degrees Celsius in slack variable breezes. Skies will remain largely clear over the southern half of the country, but high cloud will increase further north.
TOMORROW - Saturday 23rd June
Tomorrow, Saturday, will be another dry, fair weather day. High cloud could make the sunshine a little hazy at times in the north and east, but mainly fine and sunny conditions will prevail further south and west. Highest temperatures of 17 to 23 degrees, coolest in coastal regions in onshore sea breezes.
High pressure is forecast to stay over Ireland for next week as well. There will be sunshine each day and it will stay dry everywhere. It will become very warm by day with afternoon temperatures in the mid to high twenties. Sea breezes will make it a bit less warm near coasts and perhaps some sea fog may affect coasts later in the week.
The nights will initially be cool with lowest temperatures on Saturday night of 6 to 10 degrees, but after that nights will become close with temperatures not falling much below 15 degrees from Monday night onwards.
