Monday will start off mainly dry with bright or sunny spells. Cloud will increase with a few showers developing in the afternoon, these possibly turning heavy and merging to longer spells of rain for a time in the evening. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with light to moderate south to southwest winds.

Overview: Mixed with rain or showers at times. Some decent dry periods also. Highest temperatures ranging from high teens to low twenties.

Monday night will be cloudy with rain extending eastwards to all areas. Lowest temperatures of 10 to 13 degrees, with light to moderate southerly winds.

Tuesday will start off cloudy with rain in most areas. Rain will clear eastwards by noon with sunshine and showers following for the rest of the day. Highest temperatures of 16 to 21 degrees with light to moderate southerly winds veering westerly as rain clears and increasing fresh northwesterly later.

Wednesday will start off dry. Rain and drizzle will develop in the west during the morning and spread eastwards through the afternoon. Highest temperatures of 16 to 20 degrees with light westerly winds backing southerly and freshening.

On Wednesday night, rain will gradually clear eastwards with clear spells following. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 14 degrees.

Thursday will be a bright day with sunny spells and some showers, these mainly over the northern half of the country. Highest temperatures ranging from 15 degrees in the northwest to 23 degrees in the southeast with moderate westerly winds.

Through Friday and next weekend, it looks like high pressure will become established to the south of Ireland. The best of the drier, sunnier weather will be in the south and east of the country. It will be cloudier to the west and north with some rain, drizzle or showers at times. It will become warmer over the weekend with temperatures rising to the mid-twenties in Munster and south Leinster on Sunday. next.
