Dry and warm for the rest of today with sunny spells, which will be hazy at times, in mostly moderate west or southwest winds. Mist and low cloud may drift on to the south coast at times.
Dry overnight. While cloud will increase from the west overnight, some clear spells will persist, especially further to the south and east. A few isolated mist and fog patches are possible also. Lowest temperatures of 11 to 15 degrees in light, locally moderate, west or northwest winds. Coolest where clear skies persist the longest.
High on Tuesday and Wednesday.
High, locally moderate under cloud, on Tuesday and Wednesday.
Tuesday will be another warm and dry day. Cloudy in many parts at first. Sunshine, hazy at times, will spread from the south and east during the morning. Highest temperatures will range from 22 to 26 degrees generally, but a little higher in parts of the east and south with highs of 27 or 28 degrees. Light to moderate westerly winds for most but onshore winds will develop near some parts of coast in the afternoon.
Overview: Overall a lot of dry weather for the rest of the week and weekend with sunshine and becoming increasingly warm. Indeed getting hotter, especially later in the week and into the weekend, with the humidity rising then too. There'll be a little light rain and drizzle at times, mainly in the west and north and there's the chance of some sharp showers or thunderstorms later in the week and weekend.
Tuesday night: Dry for most on Tuesday night with clear spells and with few mist and fog patches forming. It'll become a bit cloudier from the west overnight. Lowest temperatures of 12 to 15 degrees in light variable breezes.
Wednesday: Any mist and fog will clear on Wednesday morning to leave a mainly dry day, with just the chance of a few isolated spots of drizzle early on in parts of the west. While it's likely to be rather cloudy at first, mainly in parts of the west and north, sunshine will gradually become more widespread. Highest temperatures will range from 18 to 20 degrees in the northwest and west, but generally in low or mid-twenties, highest across Leinster, where temperatures will be even a little higher locally, up to 27 or 28 degrees. Winds will be light to moderate southwest to west.
Wednesday night: It'll be dry for most with clear spells, though cloud will increase from the west overnight bringing just a little patchy light rain, drizzle and mist to parts of the west and northwest, along with some hill fog. Lowest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in mostly light southwest winds.
Thursday: Thursday will bring a good lot of cloud for a time, but it'll be dry apart from a few patches of light rain and drizzle or a few showers, mainly in parts of the west and north. This will tend to clear away northwards with sunshine becoming more widespread from the south. Highest temperatures of 19 or 20 degrees in coastal parts of the northwest and west, but generally in the low to mid twenties, highest across Munster and Leinster, where temperatures will be a little higher in parts. Winds will be mostly light southwesterly or variable.
Friday: It looks like Friday will be a dry day for most with plenty of warm sunshine. However, there's the chance that it could be a bit cloudier further west with a little rain. There's also the possibility that a few isolated sharp showers or thunderstorms could break out. Hotter than previous days with temperatures reaching the mid to high twenties, possibly touching 30 degrees in places.
Next weekend: It's going to continue very warm or hot by day with temperatures generally in the mid to high twenties, possibly a little higher in places, highest across the midlands and west. Winds are likely to be easterly, so a little less hot along the east coast with more of a refreshing onshore wind. Very warm and muggy by night with temperatures not falling below 16 to 19 or 20 degrees. While there'll be a lot of dry sunny weather, some thunderstorms are possible too.
Early next week: It's likely to continue very warm or hot and humid with sunshine, but with the ongoing chance of some showers and thunderstorms.
