TODAY - Friday 5th June

There'll be a lot of dry weather today, with some bright or sunny spells for a time, but with a few scattering showers, especially further to the west of the province. Cloud will increase during the afternoon, with rain moving into southern parts of the province later this evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in mostly moderate southerly winds, backing southeasterly later.

TONIGHT

It'll become wet and rather breezy tonight, with outbreaks of rain becoming widespread from the south, heavy at times. There'll be some mist and hill fog too. Lowest temperatures of 9 to 12 degrees in moderate to fresh east to southeasterly winds, stronger in coastal parts.

TOMORROW - Saturday 6th June

It'll start off wet on Saturday with outbreaks of rain, heavy at first but easing. The rain will clear northeastwards later in the morning and through the afternoon, with some bright or sunny spells following. Highest temperatures of 13 to 17 degrees in mostly light to moderate cyclonic variable winds, fresh for a time in the east, becoming mostly moderate westerly as the rain clears.

Overview: Unsettled with rain or showers each day, along with breezy conditions at times.

Friday night: Cloudy and wet with widespread outbreaks of rain, heavy in places particularly for southern counties. Lowest temperatures of 8 to 11 degrees with mostly moderate to fresh and gusty southeasterly winds.

Saturday: Cloudy and wet to start. A clearance to sunny spells and showers will build from the southwest as the rain clears in the afternoon. However, drier conditions will give way in the west to further outbreaks of rain in the evening. Highest temperatures of 13 to 18 degrees with moderate to fresh and gusty southerly winds, veering westerly through the morning and early afternoon.

Saturday night: Outbreaks of rain, mainly for Atlantic and southern counties. Mostly dry in the midlands and east with some clear spells. Temperatures not falling below 10 to 13 degrees in moderate, occasionally fresh south or southwest

Sunday: Early sunny spells in the east will give way to cloudier and wet conditions with rain becoming widespread, turning heavy at times. Drier and brighter conditions will develop in the west and southwest later. Highest temperatures of 14 to 18 or 19 degrees in moderate to fresh southwesterly winds.

Monday: Sunny spells and well scattered showers, some heavy. Highest temperatures of 13 to 16 degrees in light to moderate westerly breezes

Further Outlook: Current indications suggest it will continue unsettled for midweek with further showers or spells of rain. Breezy at times too. Temperatures generally ranging between 13 and 16 degrees.
