A mostly cloudy and misty day in much of Ulster and Leinster with showery outbreaks of rain in many areas throughout the day. The best of any drier and brighter weather is expected further west although showers will affect the southwest, becoming more isolated this evening. Highest temperatures of 6 to 9 degrees in light to moderate and variable winds, freshening in Ulster this evening.

Tonight

Rain will clear northwards early tonight, leaving well scattered showers and clear spells, however areas of mist and fog will develop. Moderate to fresh easterly winds in Ulster at first, but otherwise winds will be light and variable. Lowest temperatures of -2 to +3 degrees, coldest in Munster.

Tomorrow

Largely dry and bright for most with some further well scattered showers at first tomorrow. However, cloud and patchy rain or drizzle will develop in the south through the morning, spreading northwestwards through the day, with clear spells and showers following in the southeast during the evening. Becoming breezy with moderate to fresh easterly winds. Highest temperatures of 5 to 8 degrees.
