Breezy today with sunny spells and scattered showers. Some thunderstorms for a time this morning across west and northwest counties. Mist at times too along southern coasts. Highest temperatures of 8 to 13 degrees with moderate to fresh south to southwest winds easing towards evening.

Tonight

Dry for a time tonight before turning very wet and windy or even stormy as a deterioration extends from the south. Heavy thundery rain and strong and gusty southerly winds will develop with gale along some coasts. Some flooding is expected for southern counties towards morning due to the coincidence of high tides and onshore winds here. Relatively mild with lowest temperatures of 7 to 11 degrees, increasing through the night.

Tomorrow

Tuesday will be a windy or stormy day. Very wet to begin with strong to gale force southerly winds, veering westerly later with some damaging gusts. Thundery rain will be widespread at first with some flooding. Scattered showers will follow for the afternoon, some heavy and thundery across west and northwest counties. Mild with highest temperatures of 13 to 15 degrees.
