Today

Generally dull, wet and breezy today with outbreaks of rain, on and off through the day. The rain will be heavy at times, especially this morning and again this evening, with localised flooding possible later across some eastern counties. The best of any longer drier spells will be in the north. Cool with highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees in moderate to fresh easterly winds. Some mist and fog will develop in the southwest later as winds decrease light variable here.

Tonight

Wet and breezy across many areas for a time tonight with moderate to fresh cyclonic variable winds. Some drier spells will develop across the southern half of the country with winds easing mostly light, allowing possible patches of mist and fog to form. Some frost and ice where skies clear also. Lowest temperatures of 3 to 6 degrees generally, colder in the southwest under the best of the clear spells with lowest temperatures here of 0 to 3 degrees.

Tomorrow

Dull or misty to begin on Sunday with scattered falls of rain, mainly for Ulster and Leinster. Becoming drier into the afternoon but remaining fairly cloudy. Highest temperatures of 5 to 9 degrees, in a light to moderate easterly or variable wind, that bit breezier for Ulster to begin.
